Women in World War 1.
Speaker: Claire Nicholson.

This course will focus upon two novels, Testament of Youth (1933) by Vera Brittain and South Riding (1936) by Winifred Holtby. 
We will also explore further examples of women's responses to WW1 including its effect upon the Suffrage Campaign and the work of the Women's Co-operative Guild, as well as other literary and artistic perspectives.
